#GraphCast: Building a Music Knowledge Graph

Welcome to this week’s #GraphCast – our series featuring what you might have missed in Neo4j media from the past fortnight.

This week, I wanted to share with you a fun video in which the team over at opens in new tabGraphAware showed us how they built a music knowledge graph.

Using Neo4j as the source and target database for workflow data processing, they collected almost 400 song recommendations from individuals on the team and created a database of their musical tastes.

Watch as Luanne Misquitta, GraphAware’s Vice President of Engineering, and Christophe Willemsen, Chief Technology Officer at GraphAware, walk us through the connections found between songs – from common genres to Grammy nominations – using the knowledge graph. They were even able to set up a recommendation system to suggest new songs to participants!
